The Walk-Ons: A Season Ends

Sadness abounds as Ben and I contemplate the end of basketball. There is some melancholy, some anger, some love. It starts when I give Ben a trivia quiz as we do honor to our foreign listeners, and the quiz comes down to the last question. Ben invents tweets from the future. We take actual twitter questions. Ben sits alone at night listening to Lexington police radio. Some serious issues are covered: is Calipari ruining college basketball? Is it cool to care only about yourself in the hour of another’s glory? The waves come in, the waves come out. The Walk-Ons never stop- they just keep walking on.
