Kealia Ohai Strikes Again – Weekend Recap

Right now, I think it’s fair to say Ohai is the most exciting athlete at either school. A reader sends in this video of UNC’s 3-0 victory over Ohio State this weekend, and Ohai’s goal is at the :25 mark:

Elsewhere in Duke and UNC sports:

-The UNC men’s soccer team, ranked #2 in the country, continued their torrid start with a 2-1 victory over #1 Louisville. The Carlos Somoano era is starting out just fine. (Video highlights here.)

-The Duke men, on the other hand, have had a disastrous start. This past weekend they fell to #17 SMU and #9 UC-Santa Barbara, both at home and both in overtime. You can the team’s only goal of the weekend here, amidst an interview with head coach John Kerr:

-The #5 Duke women suffered their first setback of the season on Friday, losing to unranked Auburn 1-0, but came back and beat Ole Miss Sunday on a 75th-minute Kelly Cobb goal. ESPN did a nice feature on Cobb, and also one on the Duke program’s attempt to pull even with Carolina.
